Charles Roberts, Coaching Lead
Hi! I am Charles Roberts the Coaching Lead at Empowering Financial Coaching, LLC, in Norman, Oklahoma. Have you ever experienced a major life disruption? Well, me too. Micah and I started this journey because it exists at the intersection of several of our passions. When I was a professor, I lived for that moment when the “lightbulb” turned on for a student. That’s what made the hard work of teaching worthwhile. I always saw my job as facilitating and encouraging that spark of empowerment and enlightenment in my students. That’s how I see my role with our clients now.
I have been a lifelong learner and so I look forward to partnering with you to grow your financial knowledge base. I have studied science, engineering, business administration, investing, and Biblical finance—yes, I am a full-blown nerd! But I am also passionate about my Sooners and Cowboys so love sports! My family’s struggles with making ends meet and getting out of debt led me to learn a new, better way via Financial Peace and other Biblical-based financial sources. Being passionate about helping others led me to take the Financial Coach Master Training course so that I could combine my life experience with a proven curriculum to help people to rise from the ashes like a phoenix.

When I served as the director of Men’s Ministry, I was blessed to contribute to the explosive growth of faith in our men’s lives. It led them to newfound freedom, leadership in their work and families, and improved relationships. When life has kicked you in the teeth and you’re lying face down in the muck, you have a choice to make—lie there or pick yourself up and get moving! That’s why we are so excited to partner with you to find that personal freedom that comes from having a plan for your money to see that brighter future realized. We have both been there and want to help be that change agent to help you level up to thriving, not just surviving.

When I am not coaching, I work for the US Air Force using my skills to manage projects, lead the team, and support our Warfighters. I love spending time with and caring for my five kids and I recently became a Grandpa to a precious baby girl. Micah and her kids bring sunshine and rainbows to our lives, and I couldn’t ask for a better partner in business and life. I look forward to getting to know you and walking alongside on your journey!
